ESPRESSO MAKER SERVICE PROCEDURES
Specific service methods are listed below
for clarity. Before you proceed, read the section on Removable Components
and Component Access if you are new to the product.
SPECIFIC SERVICE TECHNIQUES
The following links will address common service procedures.
All of these techniques (except the Test procedure)
are to be performed with the Espresso Maker disconnected from the AC Mains.
REMOVABLE COMPONENTS
Before starting the service on the unit, it is a good idea
to remove all of the "hand" removable components and then place
them in a safe area. Inspect these items and check for damage or abuse and
replace any questionable items.

COMPONENT ACCESS
To access the electrical components you will remove the
tank lid (Cup Tray) that is held in place with (3) hex bolts and a single
Phillips Screw at the back of the Cabinet. Set the tank lid (Cup Tray) aside
with the other removable components.

Next, using a Phillips Screwdriver and (3) appropriate
size Allen Wrenches remove the (2) Bexel Trim pieces, the Steam Pod and
Coffee Pod Trim. Inspect these items and clean in a mild soap solution if
necessary.

Store these items with the "hand" removable items
you removed in the previous step. The cabinet Upper Body is shown below.
It is held to the main body by the long 10 MM Rods that are also shown in
the photo below.

Access to the espresso machines electrical
components is accomplished by removing the Cabinet Upper Body. (SHOWN ABOVE)
Notice how the Boiler Gauge Sensors are removed with the Cabinet Upper Body
and the (3) long Rod Bolts (10 MM) secure the unit have also been removed.
The Espresso sensor is held to the boiler with a spring. The Frothing Sensor
is attached with a Phillips Screw. After removing these fasteners, the Gauge
Sensors can be pulled from the boilers and the Cabinet Upper Body will be
free.
NOTE: Each gauge can be removed from the
inside of the Cabinet Upper Body with a counter-clockwise twist. Be sure
to note that the Espresso Gauge is positioned above the Frothing gauge,
when reassembling.
