SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
The KitchenAid Authorized Service Professional
should know all of the safety precautions recommended to the customer before
servicing the Burr Coffee Mill. Most of these are common sense, but they
are extremely
important.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
1. Read the Coffee Mill Use and Care Guide.

2. To protect against the risk of electrical
shock, do not put the Coffee Mill in water or other liquids.
3. Close supervision is necessary when any
appliance is used by or near children.
4. Unplug the Coffee Mill from the outlet
when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning.
5. Avoid contacting moving parts.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged
cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged
in any manner. Customers should have a suspect unit inspected by an authorized
service facility.
7. The use of attachments not recommended
or sold by KitchenAid may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
8. Do not use the Burr Coffee Mill outdoors..
9. Do not let the power cord hang over the
edge of a table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
10. Check the Bean Hopper for the presence
of foreign objects before using.
11. The Burr Coffee Mill has been U.L. Listed
for household and commercial use.
ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS (USA)
Voltage: 120 VAC
HERTZ: 60 Hz
This Burr Coffee Mill has a 3-Prong Grounded
Plug. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug will fit in an outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fit in the outlet, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.
· Do not remove the
Ground Prong
· Do not use an Adapter
· Use a Grounded 3-Prong
Outlet only.
A short power supply cord is provided to
reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a
longer cord. Extension Cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.
If a longer extension cord is used:
· The marked electrical rating
of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating
of the appliance.
· The extension cord should be a grounding-type
3 wire cord.
· The cord should be oriented so it
will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on
by children or create a trip hazard.
