SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

The KitchenAid Authorized Service Professional should know all of the safety precautions recommended to the customer before servicing this product. Most of these are common sense, but they are extremely important.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS (For the Customer and the Servicer)

1. Read all instructions in the "Guide to Professional Results" booklet provided with the Toaster. (dZw203)

2. Do not touch hot surfaces on the Toaster. Use handles or knobs.

3. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or Toaster in water or other liquids.

4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

5. Unplug Toaster from the electrical outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on and taking off parts.

6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.

7. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injurys.

8. Do not use this product outdoors.

9. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.

10. Do not place the unit on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

11. To disconnect, turn "On/Off" control to "Off", then remove the plug from the electrical outlet.

12. Do not use this appliance for other than it's intended use.

13. Oversize foods, metal foil packages, or utensils must not be inserted in the Toaster, as they may involve a risk of fire or electrical shock.

14. A fire may occur if the Toaster is covered or touching flammable material, includung curtains, draperies, walls and the like, when in operation.

15. Do not attempt to dislodge food from the slots when Toaster is plugged in to the electrical outlet.

16. This product has been U.L. Listed for household and commercial use.

TOASTER ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. The U.S. Model Pro Line Toasters uses 120V A.C. - 60 Hz.

2. This Pro Line Toaster uses a 3-prong outlet. If the plug does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.

3. Do not use an electrical outlet adapter.

4. Do not use an extension cord with this product.
